Paradise at Baraga

Time is surely ticking but we're not noticing.  A warm beautiful beautiful beautiful sunny sail brought us from Houghton to Baraga, averaging 6.7 knots under sail-power. Oh the joy! The days are slow as we wait for a weather window to head further East.  Not worth risking it in Superior spring, and our time is plentiful.  We've done some learning about traveling in the meantime; paradise is simply found in one's own vision of it.  We are in our found paradise at the moment.

Here's some of our joint Haiku writing to fall asleep by...

A lesson well learned,
Paradise at Baraga,
Exotic of mind.

Place of fishermen,
Trucks offered and keys given,
Hot showers for all.

Hot tea on cold day,
Neighbors share and knock at six,
The day blows mean grey.

Splattering fish fry,
Scrubbing dishes for dinner,
A fair transaction.

We'll leave the rest for you to conclude.  That being said, we've been well fed.
