THANK YOU

We just want to make a note of how blessed and grateful we are for the incredible range of people that have helped us along in the first two months of life aboard...

To our parents:
**the Engelhart mom and dad for the interminable supply of food, the always open warmth of their home on groggy soggy days, the basement full of useful tools and random objects that somehow find their time and place (hand crafted chess board, dolphin pocket flashlight...etc...you know who you are)
**the Maier mom and dad for the interminable amount of sailor-to-sailor empathy, for the irreplaceable boat goodies given (hockey stick made boat hook....etc.), expensive boating equipment we wouldn't have survived without (charts, fenders, life preservers, dinghy, spare anchor...etc), for the constant eye on the weather and incredible support to let your young daughter run free through the spring superior monster with a wild haired boy

To Jerry and Susan from Big Bay:
**For being the first people to approach us after our first encounter with harsh weather, for the tools, trips to town, and the INCREDIBLE evening with the Big Bay Yacht Club members in your beautiful home--an evening that we will always hold dear in our hearts and the laughs to remember

To Sheryl and Neil of Houghton:
**You opened your home to us after a moment's notice of our arrival after the scariest day of our life, offered us the safty and warmth of a home and a temporary family atmosphere that we so badly needed

To Tim of World Foods in Houghton:
**For the delicious Hummus and for offering your sails for our trip back to Marquette, although small and ridiculous looking, they worked surprisingly well and kept us in perfect speed on our trip down to Baraga

To Tom of Baraga:
**For your immediate kindness and help as we pulled into our temporary home in Baraga, for the delicious salmon fillets you caught during the derby, the ride to L'Anse to experience an afternoon with a fishermen crowd we will never forget

To Dave of Baraga:
**For the welcoming warmth of your customized boat home, for insightful conversations over tea time and the delightful community we had been needing for such a long time

To Tom the Harbormaster of Baraga:
**Thank you for your help on the docking situation fees, you inspire us with your selflessness and kindness, we will recommend the harbor any day and be back again next summer

To the American Legion of L'Anse:
**For letting us wash dishes in exchange for literal buckets and buckets of food...we had a blast back there

To Mark Kroos
**Meeting you in Houghton was an incredible inspiration for myself as a musician, thanks for opening your brother's home for the use of his shower and best of luck as you tour the states with your melodic beauties [congrats to you and your Mrs.!!!]

To Rick McKinney
**Your book has helped me get through some of the dark and foul days encountered as we were stuck in various locations waiting out the weather, I poured for the pages of your book and am cherishing your story every second (still thank you for your hospitality in California)

To our friends of Marquette
**For birthday parties, music making, hammock beach camping, full moon sailing, opening your homes for us to couch crash during this soggy season and simple gatherings, your friendship means a lot to us and is a good change of pace from Megan/Corey conversation time
